My role at a glance:

High/Low Pressure Tube Design.

  • Optimized pressure-sensing tube assemblies and sub-components to meet Cummins' assembly and construction standards, ensuring compliance with EPA2021 Diesel exhaust regulations.
  • Streamlined assembly processes and minimized CAD errors by establishing a standardized set of assembly coordinates across multiple systems for efficient CAD design.
  • Developed a comprehensive GD&T strategy in alignment with Cummins' standards, enhancing part tolerances and generating manufacturing engineering prints.
    

Lift Bracket Design, Testing, and Validation.

  • Proactively prepared 14 alternative lift-bracket designs and welding parameters in anticipation of critical failure of previous the design.
  • Formulated testing platforms, critical testing procedures, and prototyping drawings to validate the lift-bracket design's compliance with Cummins' critical safety standards using FEA, resulting in a 50% reduction in testing cost.
  • Planned and executed acceptance campaign accordance to Cummins' internal safety and reliability standards. Performed abusive and highly abusive lifting/load testing scenarios to qualify lift bracket's capability.

Drawings, DQR, and GD&T strategy

  • Led 4 Design Quality Reviews with suppliers and Cummins production plants to ensure proper manufacturing tolerancing.
  • Drafted and prepared prototyping prints for testing and validation of lift bracket designs and welding strategies, adhering to Cummins Reliability and Safety Standards.
  • Spearheaded the overhaul of manufacturing error-containing manufacturing drawings. Engaged and led an international technical team to create, correct, and update over 100 component drawings.
  • Generated impact assessments and Engineering Change Notices for the correction of over 50 part-number drawings. Integrated engineering prints into PDM for seamless division-wide accessibility.
    
Latin Affinity Group (GOAL)
  • Founding member of the GOAL Employee Resource Group chapter in Wisconsin and served as the recruitment co-lead for the Stoughton GOAL chapter.
Asian Affinity Group (AZN)
  • Lead a campus wide event which promoted Latin cultural affairs and introduced employees to Latino business practices. Event attended by 30+ employees
